Privacy Policy

The short version

Flip to Focus has no servers, no accounts, no ads, and no analytics. Your focus sessions are stored only on your phone. We never see them.

Who we are

Flip to Focus is published by AZAI Corp., a Canadian company based in British Columbia. Contact: asoni@kancanada.com.

What Flip to Focus does NOT collect

• We don't collect your name, email, contacts, location, or any account information. There are no accounts.
• We don't collect device IDs or advertising IDs, and the app shows no ads.
• We don't use analytics, crash reporting, or any third-party SDK that sends data to us or anyone else.
• We don't run servers. There is no AZAI Corp. database that could hold your data.

What stays on your device

• Your focus sessions: start time, planned length, focused minutes, whether the session was completed, and an optional tag such as "Study".
• Your settings, such as session length, Strict Mode and Do Not Disturb preferences.
• The date your 30-day free trial started.

None of this is sent to AZAI Corp. or any third party. Deleting the app deletes it. You can export your session history as a CSV file at any time; where that file goes is up to you.

Android backup

If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android backs up only the trial start date, so reinstalling the app doesn't restart the trial. That backup is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; we can't read it. Your session history is excluded from backups.

Sensors and permissions

• Motion sensor (accelerometer) — to tell when the phone is face down. Readings are used live and never stored or sent anywhere.
• Proximity sensor — to switch the screen off while the phone lies face down.
• Do Not Disturb access (optional) — to silence notifications during a session and restore your setting afterwards.
• Vibration — for session start, warning and finish feedback.
• Keep awake — so the timer keeps running during a session.
• Internet — used only by Google Play to process the one-time purchase. The app itself sends nothing.

Do Not Disturb access can be revoked at any time in Android settings.

Payments

Flip to Focus is free for 30 days. After that, a one-time unlock is purchased through Google Play Billing. AZAI Corp. never sees your payment details. Google's privacy policy applies to that transaction; the app only checks with Google Play, on your phone, whether the unlock has been purchased.

Children

Flip to Focus is not directed to children under 13. Because we collect nothing, we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/EEA), and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. We do not hold any personal data about you. To verify that, email asoni@kancanada.com and we will confirm in writing.
