One card, one line, and the moon as it really is.
Daily Oracle is a one-minute morning ritual: a tarot card to reflect on, a line of Stoic wisdom, one small action for the day, and tonight's moon, calculated on your phone.
- The classic 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck
- Moon phase and moon sign, accurate and offline
- The same card for everyone today
- Free, with no account and no sign-up
Open it with your coffee. Done in a minute.
No setup and no account. The day's card is waiting, face down, along with the moon for your date and time zone.

See tonight's moon
Phase, percent lit, the Moon's age, its zodiac sign and when it moves into the next one, plus the next full and new moon.

Draw today's card
Tap to turn it over. Read a short reflection and a question to journal on, then a line from Marcus Aurelius or Epictetus.

Take one small step
Each day has a small, concrete action, like ten minutes outside without your phone. Tick it off and watch your history grow.
Everything for a daily practice. Nothing to sign up for.
Made for people who like tarot as a mirror, not a forecast, and who want the moon data to be right.
The same card for everyone
Everyone who opens Daily Oracle on the same date draws the same card. Send it to a friend and you're both thinking about the same thing.
Real astronomy, offline
The moon is calculated on your phone with the formulas from Jean Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms. Phase times land within minutes of the U.S. Naval Observatory's.
The original 1909 deck
All 78 cards are scans of the first Rider-Waite-Smith printing, illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith, with a reflection and a question for each.
365 Stoic quotes
A different line every day of the year from Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus, in George Long's classic translations, quoted word for word.
A 3-card spread
Where you are, what to tend, a way forward. A personal spread for the day, different from everyone else's.
Share images
Turn today's card into an image for your Instagram story or a post. It's made on your phone and handed to the app you choose.
History and streaks
Every card you've drawn, with the moon that night and whether you did the day's action. Tap any day to read it again.
A gentle reminder
One optional notification at the time you pick. It never gives the card away, and it stays quiet once you've drawn.
Works without internet
Cards, quotes, actions and moon data are all on your phone, so the app works on a plane, a trail or the subway.
Where you are. What to tend. A way forward.
The 3-card spread is yours alone: it's drawn from your date and a random ID kept on your phone, so it's different from everyone else's and stays the same all day.
It opens after a short optional video ad. If no ad loads, it opens anyway.

“Nothing happens to any man which he is not formed by nature to bear.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 5.18, translated by George Long

Pick a story (1080×1920) or a post (1080×1350) and share it from Android's share sheet. The image shows the card, the date and the moon.
Daily Oracle doesn't upload it anywhere. Where it goes is up to you.

Your cards stay on your phone.
Daily Oracle has no account and no analytics. Here's what goes where.

Free. Every feature.
Daily Oracle is free and supported by ads: a small banner on the Today and History screens, a short optional video before the 3-card spread, and at most one full-screen ad a day, only after you share and never on your first day. There are no purchases, no premium tier and no subscription.
Questions
Does everyone get the same tarot card of the day?
Yes. Everyone who opens Daily Oracle on the same local date draws the same card, so you can share it and reflect on the same thing as a friend. The cards follow a fixed shuffle for each year, so a card comes back about every 78 days, and never sooner than 40.
How accurate is the moon phase?
The app calculates the Moon's position on your phone with the formulas in Jean Meeus's Astronomical Algorithms. Checked against all 99 new moons, full moons and quarters the U.S. Naval Observatory lists for 2026 and 2027, every phase time is within a few minutes. The moon sign is the Moon's tropical zodiac sign, with the time it enters the next one.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The cards, quotes, actions and moon calculations are all on your phone. Ads need a connection; without one the app simply shows none, and the 3-card spread opens anyway.
Is Daily Oracle free?
Yes, every feature is free. The app shows a small banner ad, a short optional video before the 3-card spread, and at most one full-screen ad a day after you share. There are no purchases and no subscription.
Is it fortune telling?
No. Daily Oracle uses tarot as a prompt for reflection, the way you might use a journaling card. It doesn't predict the future and isn't advice of any kind.
What data does the app collect?
Your card history, actions and reminder time stay on your phone and are never sent to us. There is no account. The ads come from Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects your advertising ID, approximate location from your IP address and ad interactions to show and measure ads. In the EU, UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change your choices in Settings.
Where do the cards and quotes come from?
The card art is scans of the original 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith, which is in the public domain. The quotes are George Long's public-domain translations of Marcus Aurelius's Meditations and Epictetus's Enchiridion and Discourses. The card reflections and daily actions were written for the app.
Will it remind me every day?
Only if you want it to. You can turn on one daily reminder at a time you choose. It is a local notification scheduled on your phone, it never gives away the card, and it skips the day once you have drawn.
Is there an iPhone version?
No. Daily Oracle is available for Android 8.0 and later.
